Obesity in Children
There is a growing epidemic among children all throughout the United States, and this is obesity. Just what is to blame for this obesity? Many would say the parents, however, it is not really as much as the parents as it is the fact that we live such fast paced lives that we are not eating healthy. We decide to use these convenience meals or go to the nearest fast food restaurant in order to get what we need to eat. And this is where the trouble begins. Consider the fact that on average when ordering a value meal at a local fast food restaurant that you are actually getting ten times more food than what you really need. This leads to overeating. So what can we do about the obesity rate in the United States in children?
Because children are not advised to be on extreme diets like hcg diet, they have to focus more on living a good and healthy lifestyle.
For one, encourage healthier eating, which means eating more healthy snacks and foods. Instead of eating out all the time, make some fresh meals at home and you will find that if you simply do not have the time that you can freeze some things and have these to unthaw when needed.
Secondly, never make a child eat their entire plate if they are full. This encourages overeating which is a huge problem and can lead to more obesity. Instead, include good portion sizes and encourage the child to eat as much as they want until they are full.
